A great use of mentos and diet coke.
This uses the fact that Diet Coke has no sugar so bubbles cannot settle down.
Usually bubbles of gas stored in the coke can settle on sugar molecules in drink but as Diet Coke doesn't have any then when you add mentos (powdered mentos even better) then you give the bubbles somewhere to gather.
...and BANG!
